Scarlett es portada del mes de Marzo de la revista W, fotografiada por Mert Alas & Marcus Pigott. Un look muy Debbie Harry y muy sexy para su primera portada después de ser mamá!

“Cuando ella salió de mí, yo estaba muy sorprendida” - Scarlett dijo del momento en que dio a luz a su hija Rose Dorothy - “Tenía una imagen muy fuerte en mi cabeza de cómo sería mi bebé, y por supuesto, ella era completamente diferente. Perfecta, pero no lo que yo había imaginado. Ahora, claro, no puedo imaginármela de ninguna otra forma.” 

Además de convertirse en madre, ha protagonizado dos de las pocas películas con protagonistas mujeres de 2014. En el blockbuster mundial 'Lucy', interpreta a una mujer que ingiere una droga que le da superpoderes (telekinesis,...) y en 'Under The Skin' es una seductora y mortal alien: “Aparecí completamente desnuda en esa película, ella era una especie diferente, así que su desnudez era práctica. Además tenía el pelo con una peluca negra. esa era mi idea - no creo que debiera haber sido un rollo bomba sexual rubia. Desnuda, pero no demasiado sexy.”

Cuando era niña, en Nueva York, ella estaba fascinada por todos los aspectos del show business. “Yo tenía una gran imaginación, particularmente me encantaba Judy Garland, y, para mí, ella lo hacía todo. Desde que tengo recuerdos, he querido ser actriz. Y quería hacerlo todo. Cuando era niña me fui a un montón de audiciones para anuncios, y yo era malísima para vender cosas. Nunca me cogieron para esos trabajos. Recuerdos llorar en el metro de vuelta a casa y mi madre me decía 'Bueno, vamos a olvidarlo. Así que Scarlett (y su madre Melanie, que se convirtió en su manager) decidieron que ella sólo haría audiciones para películas. Además de un precoz mix de sexy y mona, incluso para ser una niña, ella tenía una carta escondida: su profunda, grave, y voz de "fumadora":  “Cuando era niña, hablaba y todo el mundo pensaba que estaba resfriada. Pero cuando salí al mundo del cine, a la gente le encantó mi voz, era un mundo completamente distinto.” En 2013, Spike Jonze capitalizó la voz de Scarlett de forma brillante en 'Her'—como el amor virtual de Joaquin Phoenix, en forma de sistema operativo de ordenador. Jonze mencionó una vez que Scarlett llegaba cada día al set de grabación con pintalabios rojo y un vestido de cocktail, aunque nunca aparecería frente a la cámara: “Eso es ridículo, puede que llevara algo de pintalabios, pero vamos, creo que él solo se sintió aliviado de no verme aparecer en pijama. Joaquin y Spike venían en pijama a esas alturas.” [risas].

Y sobre su papel de Viuda negra (Black Widow), ella dice: “A la gente le sorprendió que quisiera interpretar a una heroína de comic, pero me encantó 'Iron Man' y me reuní con Marvel para ver qué podíamos hacer. Yo ya había hecho mis investigaciones y la Viuda Negra me encantaba como personaje. Es oscura y ha enfrentado tantas veces a la muerte que tiene una perspectiva muy profunda del valor de la vida. En la secuela [de los Vengadores], aprendes mucho de la tristeza de su pasado. Yo pienso en ella de esa manera. La Viuda Negra es una superheroína pero también humana. Es pequeña, pero fuerte. Es difícil no admirarla. Te da un buen puñetazo, y trata de luchar contra las fuerzas del mal. Todos lo tratamos. Como la Viuda Negra, tienes que seguir intentándolo. El reto está siempre ahí.”

“When she came out of me, I was so surprised” - Scarlett said on giving birth to her daughter, Rose Dorothy - “I had a very strong picture in my mind of what my baby would look like, and, of course, she is completely different. Perfect, but not what I’d imagined. Now, of course, I can’t picture her any other way.” 

In addition to becoming a mom, she starred in two of the only interesting female-centric films of 2014. In the global blockbuster 'Lucy', she plays a woman who ingests a drug that gives her superior mental and physical abilities (telekinesis, ass-kicking), and in 'Under the Skin', she is a seductive, murderous alien. “I was completely naked in that movie, she was a totally different species, so her nudity was kind of practical. I also had black hair. That was my idea—I didn’t think I should be a blonde sort of bombshell. Naked, but not too sexy.”

As a child in New York, she was fascinated with every aspect of show business. “I had a big imagination, I particularly loved Judy Garland, and, to me, she did it all. For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be an actor. And I wanted to do everything. When you’re a kid, they send you on a lot of commercial auditions, and I was terrible at selling things. I never got those parts. I remember crying in the subway, and my mom said, ‘Look—let’s forget it. Do something else.’ And I replied, ‘No. You can’t take this away from me. I want to be an actor!’ Waiting for the B train, I had my come-to-Jesus moment.”

So Scarlett (and her mother Melanie, who became her manager) decided she would audition only for films. In addition to a precocious mix of sexy and cute, even as a girl, she had a trump card: her deep, slightly hoarse, smoky speaking voice. “When I was young, I would talk and everyone thought I had a cold. But when I went out for films, they loved my voice. It was a different world.” In 2013, Spike Jonze capitalized on Johansson’s voice brilliantly in 'Her'—as Joaquin Phoenix’s love interest, a disembodied computer operating system. Jonze once mentioned that Scarlett arrived every day to play the part wearing red lipstick and a cocktail dress, even though she would never appear on camera. “That’s ridiculous, maybe I wore a little lipstick, but I think he was just relieved that I wasn’t in pajamas. Joaquin and Spike were both coming to work in pajamas at that point.” 

On her Black Widow role, she says: “People were surprised that I wanted to play a comic book heroine, but I loved 'Iron Man', and I met with Marvel to see what was possible. I had done my research, and the Black Widow character resonated with me. She is dark and has faced death so many times that she has a deep perspective on the value of life. In the sequel [of The Avengers], you learn more about the sadness in her past. I think of her that way. Black Widow is a superhero, but she’s also human. She’s small, but she’s strong. It’s hard not to admire her. She packs a big punch, we all try to fight the forces of evil. Like Black Widow, you have to keep trying. The challenge is always there.”

Hablando de sus últimos papeles ha dicho: "Cuando quieres algo, tienes que ir a por ello. Eso es algo que aprendí muy pronto. Era muy competitiva desde una edad bien temprana." Incluso ella llegó a teñirse de pelirroja para obtener el papel de la Viuda Negra en 'Iron Man 2' y ahora va por su tercera película interpretándola, realmente persigue lo que quiere!

Talking about her latest roles, she says: "If you want something, you have to go for it. That's something I learned early on. I was really competitive at a young age."  She even dyed her hair red to get the Black Widow role in 'Iron Man 2' and now she's about to play her for the third time! So you can shee she really focus on what she wants!

¿En qué eres diferente ahora?

"Creo que ahora me conozco mejor. Creo que siento que sé mejor lo que necesito en una relación, lo que quiero en una relación. Y sé que tengo más herramientas para comunicarme, no sólo con mi pareja sino conmigo misma. Ésto no es necesariamente un reflejo de la persona con quien me casé o lo que pasó en mi matrimonio, pero sí del momento en que estaba en mi vida. Cuando me casé la primera vez, era mucho más joven. He tenido la oportunidad de trabajar en conocerme a mí misma. Eso te hace mejor pareja y alguien capaz de trabajar con otro alguien y mantener una relación en los momentos 'no románticos'. Tengo más paciencia conmigo misma, con mi pareja. Supongo que eso viene con la edad, probablemente."

Así que, ¿básicamente el plan es que cuando pases éste duro año de trabajo, tú y Romain fijaréis una fecha para la boda?

"Sí, supongo. Estamos llevándolo con calma. Nunca he sido alguien que querría una súper boda. No me importan esas cosas."

Os dividís entre Nueva York y París. ¿Cómo es un típico fin de semana vuestro en París?

"Bueno, a él le encanta el arte, probablemente visitaríamos alguna galería o iríamos a algún museo. Esa es su auténtica pasión. Me gusta experimentar eso con ello. Creo que parte de lo maravilloso de vivir en París es el tiempo que se toma la gente con sus cosas. Me gusta no sentir presión los fines de semana en París. Los domingos la mayoría de sitios están cerrados, y hay algo maravilloso en ello. Así que estoy allí más a gusto que pasando el fin de semana en mi cama."

¿Ha cambiado París tu sentido del estilo?

"Sí. ¡Porque tengo más competición! Lo bueno de estar en París es que sabes que todo el mundo mira lo que llevas puesto: tienes público, ¿sabes? El estilo de Nueva York es más relajado y funcional. ¡Un look parisino no es funcional! No importa si tus zapatos son o no cómodos. Aquí en Nueva york puedes llevar tus Nike. En París ni de broma. Aunque mis amigas de París y yo hemos decidido adoptar la tendencia de vestir de manera atlética en el día a dia porque nos cansamos de ir siempre perfectas. Yo You estaba en plan 'Estoy harta de no sentir mi dedo gordo del pie después de dos horas bailando!."

How are you different now?

"I think I know myself better. I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship. And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself. That's not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life. When I was first married, I was much younger. And I have had the opportunity now to work more on getting to know myself. I think that makes you a better partner and somebody who is able to work with somebody and stay in a relationship in the not-romantic moments. I have more patience with myself. I have more patience with my partner. I think that just comes with age, probably."

So the plan is basically that once you get through this crazy year of work, you and Romain will figure out a wedding date?  

"Yeah, I guess so. We're just going with the flow. I've never been one to do a full-on themed wedding. I don't care about that stuff. "

The two of you are splitting time between New York and Paris. What’s a typical weekend in Paris? 

"Well, he loves art, so we might visit some of the galleries or go to a museum. That's his true passion. I like to experience that with him. I guess part of the wonderful thing about living in Paris is how people take their time with things. And I like to feel no pressure on the weekends in Paris. Sunday, most things are closed in Paris, and there’s something wonderful about that. So I'm much more comfortable just spending the weekend in my bed."

Has Paris changed your sense of style?


"Yeah. Because I have more competition! The nice thing about being in Paris is that you know everybody’s looking at what you're wearing: You have an audience, you know? New York is about street style that's functional. A Paris look is not functional! It doesn't matter if your shoes are comfortable. Here [in New York] you can still wear your Nikes. In Paris you suck it up. You hobble around. Although my girlfriends in Paris and I decided we're adopting the trend of athletic streetwear ’cause we got sick of it. I was like, 'I am sick of not feeling my big toe after two hours of dancing!'"

Scarlett en una nueva foto para la revista del New Yorker, está preciosa y muy misteriosa, me encanta!

En una de sus recientes entrevistas ha hablado sobre la tensión que a menudo sienten las actrices al tratar de equilibrar sus carreras y vidas personales, en particular sobre el tema de la familia. Es un tema que justo ha coincidido con la noticia de que ella y Romain esperan su primer hijo!:

"Parece tan estresante no ser capaz de pasar tiempo con tu familia porque estás constantemente a la cola de tu propio éxito, debe existir un mundo en el que se puedan equilibrar las cosas, ser capaz de formar una familia y seguir haciendo una película al año, o el trabajar por mi cuenta, desarrollar cosas, hacer teatro. Quiero ser capaz de tenerlo todo. [ríe] Egoístamente. Sé que con ello habrá algunos sacrificios. Sé que esa es la lucha de las madres con carreras exitosas. Sucede. Con [actores masculinos] simplemente no sucede de esa manera. Puedes ser la fantasía de toda mujer, y nadie se piensa dos veces el hecho de que tienes ocho hijos o lo que sea."

Scarlett in a new pic for New Yorker Magazine. She looks so beautiful and mysterious, I love it!

In one of her latest interviews, she spoke about the tension actresses often feel between balancing their careers and personal lives, particularly on the subject of family. This comes right after it's been reported her and Romain are expecting their fist baby!:

"It seems so stressful to not be able to spend time with your family because you're constantly chasing the tail of your own success, there must exist a world in which I can balance those things, be able to raise a family and still make a film a year, or work on my own, develop things, do theater. I want to be able to have it all. [laughs] Selfishly. I know that with that there will be some sacrifices. I know that's the struggle with working mothers and successful careers. It happens. With [male actors] it just doesn't happen that way. You can be every woman's fantasy, and nobody thinks twice about the fact that you have eight kids or whatever."

Durante la entrevista, Scarlett tuvo palabras que podrían relacionarse con su reciente polémica por el tema de Soda Stream y Oxfam. No habló del tema en concreto directamente pero sí dijo: "No pretendo saber más o menos que nadie. Si eso es un subproducto de cualquier imagen que se proyecta a través de mí no me siento responsable como artista a dar a nadie ese mensaje. No es mi tema. ¿Cómo podría levantarme cada día y ser una persona normal si fuera completamente consciente de que mi imagen estaba siendo manipulada en una plataforma global? ¿Cómo iba a dormir? Tienes que tener la mente en paz. Tienes que ser capaz de proteger esas cosas. ¿Cómo si no, podrías existir? Te vuelves loco, cualquiera se volvería loco."

El mes pasado, Scarlett dejó de ser embajadora global de Oxfam después de firmar un contrato como imagen de SodaStream, una compañía israelí que fabrica máquinas para hacer bebida gaseosa, que opera en la zona ocupada. en un comunicado ella dijo que dejaba su cargo en Oxfam por "diferencias fundamentales de opinion" with ya que ellos están en contra de cualquier asentamiento israelí ya que burla los derechos de los Palestinos.

During the interview, she talked a bit about the recent Soda Strean and Oxam polemic. Although she didn't address the issue directly, shesaid: "I don't profess to know more or less than anybody else. If that's a by-product of whatever image is projected on to me I don't feel responsible as an artist to give anyone that message. It's not my jam. How could I wake up every day and be a normal person if I was completely aware that my image was being manipulated on a global platform? How could I sleep? You have to have peace of mind. You've got to be able to protect those things. How else could you exist? You'd go crazy, anybody would go crazy."

Last month, Scarlett stepped down as an Oxfam ambassador after featuring in a SuperBowl advert for SodaStream, an Israeli company operating in the occupied West Bank. She said she had a "fundamental difference of opinion" with the charity, which opposes all trade from Israeli settlements because they say it is illegal and denies Palestinian rights.

"No suelo leerlas. De vez en cuando me mandan alguna perspicaz o brillante, pero trato de que no me afecten, ni para bien ni para mal. Por otra parte, no hay forma de volver atrás y rehacer las cosas, así que ¿para qué? Me parece una pérdida de tiempo." 

¿Te ves trabajando en el cine para siempre? 
"Me veo trabajando en este negocio pero puede que de otra manera. No creo que mi trabajo como actriz vaya a llenarme por completo el resto de mi vida. Tengo muchos intereses que me gustaría emprender." 

¿En qué tipo de negocio te involucrarías? 
"Me haría ilusión crear una línea de ropa masculina. También, sería muy bonito implicarme en el mundo de la agricultura de alguna forma y, además, ¡no descarto tener mi propio restaurante!."

Any film review that has affected you? 
"I don't usually read them. Occasionally yes, when someone sends me an insightful or brilliant one, but I try them not affect me, for better or for worse. Moreover, there is no way to go back and redo things, so why? It seems a waste of time."

Do you see yourself working in the film industry forever? 
"I see myself working in this business but maybe in other areas. I don't think my job as an actress will completely fill me for the rest of my life. I have many interests that I would like to undertake."

What type of business would you get involved into?
"I would like to create a menswear line. Also, it would be nice get involved in the world of agriculture in some way and I don't regret having my own restaurant!"

“My character, Samantha, doesn’t have a body. She’s just a voice. And yet the vocal work was extremely intimate. I spent all of my hours in a little sound booth, and when I spoke the sex scenes, the windows definitely fogged up. Spike [Jonze, the director] knocked on the door and asked, ‘Whoa—are you okay?’ I said, ‘I just want to throw a little heat into this life.’ ”

In a week Oscar Nominations will be announced... will we have a surprise?

Scarlett talks about presents:‘I much prefer to give presents than to receive them, I always look for a present that my friend or loved one covets but would never ask for themselves.’

But when it comes to planning her Christmas Day look, Scarlett reveals: ‘I usually carry a red lipstick with me for a last minute night out. The Passion Duo in Devil (Dolce & Gabbana) is my favourite.’

'Her' voice role

“Spike [Jonze] es increíble y el guion de esta película me dejó en shock. Creo que la historia, que habla de nuestras emociones en esta era de redes sociales y de indefinición tecnológica donde tomamos decisiones por WhatsApp y colgamos nuestra vida entera en Facebook, es tan absolutamente relevante que cuesta creer que alguien lo haya sabido captar de esta manera. Es fascinante lo que uno puede llegar a hacer simplemente con su voz. ¿Siri? Bueno, digamos que me parezco a ella, pero soy mejor [sonríe al compararse con la voz de los iPhone].”

 Como os puse en el anterior Webroll, el jurado que vota y elige los candidatos a los Globos de Oro definió el papel de Scarlett en 'Her' como "ineligible" para una nominación por su actuación, porque ella no aparece físicamente en la peli, lo que es una pena especialmente después de ganar el premio a Mejor Actriz en el Festival de Cine de Roma! Aun así tiene opciones en los SAG y los Oscar, crucemos los dedos! La película está ya recibiendo reconocimiento y buenísimas críticas, no puedo esperar para verla, aquí tenéis el segundo trailer:

“Spike [Jonze] is amazing and the script of this film left me in shock. I think the story, that speaks about our emotions in this age of social networks and technological uncertainty where we make decisions via WhatsApp and post our whole life on Facebook, it's so important that is hard to believe that someone has managed to capture this. It's fascinating what you can do with just your voice. Siri? Well, let's say I'm similar to her, but better [smiles when comparing herself to the iPhone's voice].”

As I posted on the last Webroll, Golden Globes jury defined Scarlett's role in 'Her' as 'inelligible' for the award because she doesn't phisically appears in the movie, which is truly a shame, especially after she won the awards for Best Actress at the Rome Film Festival. But still she has options at the Academy Awards and the SAGs, so fingers crossed for her! The movie is already getting awesome reviews and recognition among movie critics, I can't wait to see it! “El actor que diga que nunca ha hecho una mala elección miente o ha tenido mucha suerte… pero más bien creo que miente. No sé si se aprende de las derrotas, supongo que tratas de tener más puntería la próxima vez, pero no estoy realmente segura de que puedas aprender nada determinante, excepto a actuar de forma profesional sean cuales sean las circunstancias. Todos los proyectos en los que trabajo son arriesgados, la vida es riesgo y así es como hay que tomársela. No puedes evitarlo, nunca sabes qué va a pasar y sería absurdo intentar averiguarlo. Lo que no te mata, te hace más fuerte, suelen decir, ¿no? Yo creo que es absolutamente cierto.”

MUY cierto! Scarlett siempre es valiente en sus elecciones profesionales y personales, eso dice mucho a su favor y por eso la admiro.

SO true! Scarlett always takes risks in her professional and personal life, that says a lot from her and that's why I admire her.

Va-va-voom! Increíble Scarlett en la portada de Diciembre de la revista Vogue (Mexico)! Es una de sus mejores portadas ¿no os parece? Está impresionante!

Siempre hablan de su imagen, su sensualidad, y su belleza, pero Scarl no se conforma con eso, no quiere quedarse ahí y es ambiciosa en su trabajo: 

“No considero un defecto ser ambicioso, creo que todos los actores lo somos. No ha sido fácil llegar hasta aquí, he tenido que hacer muchos sacrificios, y en ese proceso siempre piensas que en algún momento te dará beneficios. Yo sigo persiguiéndolos. ¿Que si no he tenido suficiente? No, por supuesto que no.”

Va-va-voom! Incredible Scarlett on the cover of the December issue of Vogue (Mexico) magazine! I think it's one of her best covers ever, don't you? She looks stunning!

Everyone always talk about her image, her sensuality, her beauty, but Scarl doesn't want to get stuck in that and she's ambitious in her job:

"I don't consider a fault to be ambitious, I think all the actors are. It hasn't been easy to get here, I've had to make many sacrifices, and in the process you always think that at some point you will get your benefits. I keep pursuing them. Did I have enough yet? No, of course not."

Scarlett Ingrid Johansson cumple hoy 29 años así que muchas felicidades para ella y su hermano gemelo Hunter!

Para hoy una foto súper especial, es una nueva de una sesión que hizo hace varios años para Teen Vogue y una de mis favoritas de ella, está preciosa, juvenil, dulce, y guapísima. Pronto os pondré otra nueva más!

En una reciente entrevista, Scarlett fue preguntada acerca de su edad:

 ¿Estás preocupada por cumplir los 30 el año que viene?
"No, la verdad no lo creo. Espero envejecer con gracia. No querría volver atrás. Tengo muchas ganas de ver qué me depara el futuro."

Éste ha sido un buen año de trabajo para ella, se ha comprometido para casarse con Romain Dauriac, ha tenido y tiene nuevos y excitantes proyectos de cine, ha repetido en el teatro en Broadway, y ha recibido muy buenas críticas e incluso premios por sus trabajos. Ya incluso se habla de nominación al Oscar por su papel en 'Her', pero como siempre, habrá que esperar, aún así, toda la suerte del mundo!

Scarlett Ingrid Johansson turns 29 years-old today so happy birthday to her and her twin brother Hunter!

For today a very special picture, it's from a photoshoot she did some years ago for Teen Vogue Magazine and one of my favorites from her, she looks precious, sweet, youthful, and so pretty. I will post another new one soon!

She was asked about her age on a recent interview:

Are you concerned about turning 30 next year?
''No, I don't think so. I look forward to ageing gracefully. I wouldn't want to go backwards. I'm looking forward to what the future holds." 

This has been a really good year for her, getting engaged to boyfriend Romain Dauriac, having done and doing new and exciting projects, repeating her experience on Broadway, and she's been getting really good reviews for her work, and even awards. There are even Oscar nomination rumors for her role in 'Her', we'll have to wait and see! All the best for her!
